Bill: Sales Tax Bill
Details
Submitted by[?]: Paleofederalist Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: May 2903
Description[?]:
GDP = Consumption + Investment + Govt expenditures + net exports for our nation: Government spending is low, therefore, consumption is up. We will adjust the tax system to try and reach a good balance of purchasing and saving. For the record: our current consumption is 78.42% (a little high) and our Investments are 15.65% (a tad low). Our goals are to have consumption in the 60-70% range and investments in the 19-22% range. This leaves room for our 6% govt spending and exports (OOC: which we can never be sure of, but obviously it is good to have a trade surplus). |

Random fact: "Treaty-locking", or ratifiying treaties that completely or nearly completely forbid any proposals to change laws, is not allowed. Amongst other possible sanctions, Moderation reserves the discretion to delete treaties and/or subject parties to a seat reset if this is necessary in order to reverse a treaty-lock situation. |
