Message | Amy Glenting, Btss. The Northern Lights Party would like to nominate Ronald Quinn for the position of Speaker of the House. Ronald Quinn was born in St., John in 2852 to factory workers. He became involved in politics after graduating from Kingdom University with an AB in history, first elected to his local chapter in 2878 under the banner of the local Heritage Party. After the Heritage Party was absorbed by what was then called the National Syndicalist Party in 2884, he was put on a slate to be elected to the council legislature and was quickly elevated to the House, first winning election in 2891 as a member from Falristan. In 2892, he married his longtime partner, Henry Wallace, also of Saint John. His work on the Defence Oversight Committee won him a Baronetcy in 2895. Quinn is concerned with preserving and expanding the rights and autonomy of local councils. He is widely suspected of having Saint Anselmite sympathies, but I would urge the house to not hold this against him. |

Random fact: It is the collective responsibility of the players in a nation to ensure all currently binding RP laws are clearly outlined in an OOC reference bill in the "Bills under debate" section of the nation page. Confusion should not be created by displaying only some of the current RP laws or displaying RP laws which are no longer current. |
