This act amends the Mayoralty Act of 2894 (http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=280621). Article II shall henceforth read in its entirety "II. Each Council must select a method of election from the schedule." No further plurality charters may be granted. Existing ones will be permitted to expire. |

Message | Madam Speaker, on the one hand the NLP wish to grant more powers to local authorities, and on the other they wish to interfere in this way. Madam Speaker, I just cannot understand the bias that the NLP has against the FPTP system. Surely if we accept the principle of councils determining most of their affairs, we should accept this system also. |
