Submitted by[?]: Liberal-Progressive Union
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: April 2136
Description[?]:
This eliminates the mandatory possession of ID badges. It should be left for the individual to decide if they need or want to carry their own ID. Mandatory possession is a gross violation of basic human rights. Voluntary is much more civil and more in touch with our basic freedoms. |

Message | What embarrasment? So they have a card with their name on it, so? It breaks no human rights but merely guarantees that there is a form of identification that can be guaranteed for business dealings and confimation of identity should any person be required to show proof of identification (i.e. police station, voting etc). Voluntary removes the whole point in having the card in the first place as some people can confirm their identity and others can't, or if they can it merely leads to a plethora of differing means of identification confusing the issue and making it more difficult for businesses etc to guarantee a proper identification. |

Message | That's a risk you take living in a free society. I would prefer minor issues not having my ID, then being forced by law to carry one. Freedom over convience.. |

Message | Sorry, carrying an I.D. is hardly an "embarassment," let alone a breech of freedom. |
