Message | We cannot support this bill. While we hope that citizens will consent to have their organs donated, we cannot accept that the State has the right to assume consent. We cannot tolerate a State which assumes that it has propriatorial rights over a person's possessions (including their body) by default. We would be willing to see the government strongly urge people to opt-in to organ donation, and we would support any reasonable measure that made the opt-in process as simple and convenient as possible, but we can never support an opt-out system. |

Message | To be able to have enough donors in order to save more lives it is, related to ones personel freedom of choice, a small sacrifice. In fact, the individual can still choose not to donate. |
