Bill: Budget Proposal for the 2916 Fiscal Year

Details

Submitted by[?]: Federalist Party of Vanuku

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill proposes to change the allocation of funds in the budget. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: April 2917

Description[?]:

Members of the Assemblage,

After much deliberation with my office and members of the Assemblage, I have put together the following budget for the next year. Please take a moment and look it over. As you can see, cuts were made in all areas, as equally as possible. Also keep in mind that even with these cuts, we will still face a small deficit next year, but a far more manageable deficit that can be fixed with further improvements to tax brackets and GDP fluctuations.

I ask you to please keep in mind that this budget is only temporary until proper income levels rise, at that point we can raise funding as needed. So I urge you to pass this bill now before are deficit grows larger.

Thank you,

Jon Hendriks
Minister of Finance

Message"As usual, the LDP will support any move to reduce the burden on the Government. We still, however, have concerns with the reduction in Defence expenditure. Defence should always be the number one priority of any Government, so if anything this department's budget should be increasing. We would rather see the 25billion VAN be taken out of a less essential and overfunded portfolio, such as Infrastructure and Transport or Internal Affairs."

Random fact: Cultural Protocol bills must provide a real-life equivalent or short description for the ethnic groups, languages and religions contained in them, such that it would be easy for an unfamiliar player to understand (e.g. "Dundorfian = German"). Where appropriate, they should also provide guidance to players on where to find help with translations and character names. This might include, for example, links to Google Translate, Behind the Name's Random Name Generator and Fantasy Name Generators.
