Message | Mr. Speaker, We do not approve or Article 1. Does forest protection need reform? Yes, but all forests should be allowed to undergo logging, that is laissez-faire capitalism. Article 3 is also an issue. The current standard is necessary in order to replenish forests faster and to allow for more logging, thus more money for the people and a healthier economy. We would not trust local governments to make this kind of decision. Some may local governments may not even replant trees, causing the logging industry to die. The Holy Empire needs all of the business it can get. We yield. |

Message | Mr Speaker, We very much understand the IMP's concerns on article 1 and would also prefer a free market policy. However, the modified article 1 is a net improvement on the current situation and thus should be supported. The IROC will have full powers to make sure that local governments proceed to tree replantation to make sure the logging industry prospers. I yield. |

Message | Mr. Speaker, Thank you for clearing up the issue for Article 3. As for Article 1, as long as the national government can ensure that the logging industry remains free from regulation, we can support this bill. We yield. |
