Bill: Media Deregulation Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: League of Libertarians

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: June 2920

Description[?]:

An opinion poll was held among the citizens of the Republic of Endralon. The subject of the opinion poll was The time at which sexually explicit content may be shown on broadcast television (if allowed). When asked what their opinions were, the following choices were made:

Percentage Choice
37.37% Sexually explicit content may be shown all day long.
33.36% Sexually explicit content or nudity may only be shown during hours that very few children watch television
29.27% Sexually explicit content may only be shown during hours that very few children watch. Nudity may be shown all day long

---------

Perhaps this poll shows that Endralon Citizen has already matured and can accept Sexually Explicit contents on TV as Sexual Education for children

Concerning the Article 2, it's very frequent magazines like 'Supernatural Worlds', 'Conspiracy Weekly' or 'Celebrity Spotlight' being brought to the court for publishing 'False Contents', but we all know their role in the media is not providing true information but providing entertainment to the segmented masses(read: nerds, emo, and edward cullen fangirl).

MessageWell that's freedom of speech, and we can counter that by prove them that they're wrong, if the Media still publish the story, it's their business and we're sure if the readers know they lies, they won't buy the paper no more. This way, Media that lies too much won't sell, that's just how Free Market operates, best quality products won

MessageNot really, it's because FOX is the only media that represents Conservative view, while there four mainstream medias that represents the liberals in US; NBC, CNN, ABC, and CBS (CMIIW)

MessageA3, sometimes people don't want to hear the truth but only what they want to be told, so they will consume that media even so.

Random fact: Moderation will not accept Cultural Protocol updates which introduce, on a significant scale, cultures which are likely to be insufficiently accessible to players. In particular, for all significant cultures in Particracy, it should be easy for players to access and use online resources to assist with language translation and the generation of character names. Moderation reserves the right to amend Cultural Protocols which are deemed to have introduced significant cultures that are not sufficiently accessible and which are not being actively role-played with.
