Message | Madam Speaker, we understand and appreciate the sentiment intended by the NSP, but we would rather the situation be left as it is. Teachers still have the power to reprimand unruly pupils, something that this bill would not change. However, some schools may take this too far and interpret "showing respect" as meaning putting hand on heart or whatever. It would be wrong were this the case. |
