Bill: Income tax proposal of May 2136

Details

Submitted by[?]: Action Française

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill proposes to change income taxes. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 2137

Description[?]:

The National Alliance propose to adjust the government's income tax policy to better address the economic situation of the Kanjoran Empire.

We propose abolishing the bottom and top rates of income tax. However the new highest rate would be raised from 42% to 45%

This will leave us with the following

Revenue
166billion income tax
33billion, corporation tax
29billion luxury sales tax

228billion total

Expenditures
222billion (proposed)

This leaves us with 6billion budget surplus, which can either be saved afainst future problems, or used to reduce the national deficit.

MessageWe don't need to tax the poor, so we removed the lowest rate of tax, to help the poor. We have already raised the tax rate for thpose earning above 24,000 from 42% to 45%, we do not need to raise it further, otherwise eliminating the highest rate of tax will have been meaningless.

We do not need a higher revenue, this income tax, along with our proposed spending, will leave us with a surplus of 6billion, therefore there is no need to increase income.
