Message | "Our children are not dancing bears" We are sorry, but I believe the ISA had overemphasized the point. Let us make it a bit clearer. We believe that child labour should be allowed on certain occasions, such as that of the entertainment industry. In that industry, children are not merely "dancing bears", but show off huge amounts of talent in singing and acting. At their young age, they have the capability to sing hit record and act in award-winning films. And also, can any of you imagine family-oriented films without even the slightest sight of children in it? Educational shows for kids without any children in any single one of these shows, other than by cartoons? If one wishes to make a film about classic stories like Tom Sawyer or David Copperfield, how would they do so if they cannot use children? You see how far this bill can affect the industry if it gets passed. It substantially restricts artistic freedom in the industry. |

Random fact: Did you know you can change the official name of your nation? All you need to do is draw up a new name that is in accordance with the Nation Renaming Guide, pass a bill proposing the name change with a two-thirds majority and then post a request to Moderation on the "Renaming Requests" thread. You can change city and region names in this way too. |
