Message | The IRPP has a problem with article 5, the formal title of the HoS. A mere mortal cant hold the title of Caliph, only those who can directly trace their family bloodline back to the Holy Prophet Muhammed, sallallahu alaihi wa sallam, are allowed to be granted that title. One such man is the former Sultan of Al'Badara, Sultan Abdallah I, who was dethroned a few years back. The only way the IRPP would support a proposal to grant someone the title of Caliph would be if the former Sultan would be reinstated as the hereditary HoS of the UBE. Otherwise the title of President of the United Badaran Emirates will sufice. |

Message | the BCP strongly disagree with article 5 and 9 Article 5 is obviously problematic. According to teaching of Islam, President (elected by vote) can not be Caliph. because Caliph is a successor of Muhammad. Article 9 is also problematic. Setting mandatory retirement age as 60 is very unproductive. 60 is too young to retire. This is a policy for economic suicide and industrial destruction. |

Message | Article 5: It can be argued that the best Caliph is the one chosen for knowledge, after all The Prophet did not give instructions for the selection of a Caliph. Article 9: It is not as if we will forbid any work after 60, it is only the time at which it is suggested that one retire. |

Message | Article 5 brings another problem with it, the title of Caliph is a title for life. So if we had an elected Caliph who would serve for one term, he would still hold the title of Caliph, but his succesor would also hold the title of Caliph, and so on. That would cause problems, we might have a dozen Caliphs in a few decades. Thats isn workable. We still view it essential that the Caliph has a direct bloodline with the Holy Prophet Muhammed, sallallahu alaihi wa sallam. |

Random fact: Particracy allows you to establish an unelected head of state like a monarch or a president-for-life, but doing this is a bit of a process. First elect a candidate with the name "." to the Head of State position. Then change your law on the "Structure of the executive branch" to "The head of state is hereditary and symbolic; the head of government chairs the cabinet" and change the "formal title of the head of state" to how you want the new head of state's title and name to appear (eg. King Percy XVI). |
