This is the official proposal from the DPA. It has been approved by countless officials including Jason Steels.
Elementary School

A. Grade I (6-7 years)
B. Grade II (7-8 years)
C. Grade III (8-9 years)
D. Grade IV (9-10 years)
E. Grade V (10-11 years)
Junior High School
F. Grade VI (11-12 years)
G. Grade VII (12-13 years)
H. Grade VIII (13-14 years)
High School
I. Grade IX (14-15 years)
J .Grade X (15-16 years)

Specialty School(consists of Arts and Communication, Health Sciences, Business, Management, Marketing, and Technology, Human Services, Engineering/Manufacturing and Industrial Technology, and Natural Resources and Agriculture.
K. Specialty Class I (16-17 years)
L. Specialty Class II (17-18 years)

Special circumstances(excluding specialty schools)
A. A child may only be accelerated if he/she is a straight A student, shows great Initiative, and is recommended by his/her teacher(s). They must also take tests in all 4 core classes of Mathematics, Social Studies, Science, and Language Arts and must achieve a 90% or higher.
B. A child may be held back if they consist of all D/F's, and their teachers highly recommend it. PArents may also recommend summer school but may be override depending on the grades of the student.

Special circumstances(for specialty schools)
A. there shall be no acceleration due to there only being two classes.
B. Since there are 6 types they may not transfer from course 1 in one school, to course 2 in another.
C. They may be held back if there grades are dropping or have stayed low throughout the year.

MessageI think this is something that has to be debated further.

1. If they are asked to choose among the courses or specializations, what makes that different from higher education?
2. "There shall be no acceleration due to there only being two classes." On the part of the student, doesn't that waste money and time since he only has two classes for one whole year?
3. Maybe we should consider having middle schools instead, and then having trade classes in high school.

MessageWe have changed our vote to abstain. We ask that we debate this further. As we pointed out before the proposed education plan seams to be focusing on trade schools for the last 2 years, making no difference from the compulsory education from higher education. We propose putting in middle schools which will take care of the next two years, like the GPA said.
