Message | I also propose lowering the > 300,000,000 TPD tax from 40% to 20%. No one makes that much money so it would make no difference, but if we lower the tax giving incentive for people to make more than 15,000, then that will mean more tax income for the government (not that that is our main goal). |
Date | 07:49:37, May 01, 2010 CET | From | Telamon Liberal Party | To | Debating the Tax Cut of 2930 |
Message | Um... According to our current system we only have a surplus of 3.75 billion, so if you take 7 billion off our taxes then we go into deficit. |
Date | 07:50:05, May 01, 2010 CET | From | Telamon Liberal Party | To | Debating the Tax Cut of 2930 |
Message | And shouldn't be making these decisions as Minister of Finance? |
Date | 18:51:53, May 01, 2010 CET | From | Libertarian Party | To | Debating the Tax Cut of 2930 |
Message | Then we must cut spending. Cutting taxes allows citizens to purchase their own services rather than the government providing those services for them. |

Random fact: When you join the game, you will find yourself with only zero seats. That's because your party's representatives haven't been elected yet. You need to establish your party's position on issues by proposing several bills that your party wants passed and sending them to vote. This raises your visibility and if you do it enough, you will win seats at the next election. |
