Description[?]:

In times of peace, be prepared for war. Aldegar, our nation, is a center of trade, especially with the existence of the Canal in which many cargo ships stop over and pass by, with this in mind, our nation, shall have a strict and developed army to protect it. Also, the ratifiers of the said treaty are only but 3 nations, signifying that there are about 50+ more nations who will prove to be a constant threat to our nation. We cannot afford such hazard.

MessageIt's not as if nuclear, chemical and biological weapons were particularly effective for defending trade routes. Or for defending anything, for that matter. Mainly they make whole stretches of land temporarily inhabitable, thereby mostly affecting the civilian population until the effects have worn off after a few centuries.

MessageYes, it doesn't, but one has to admit that striking an image of fear upon others would be a good precautionary measure. As the saying goes, prevention is better than cure. Also, we do not see as to why are we in need to comply to such a treaty while in fact, we could go ahead and just have our own say on the said matter. For one, If our nation cannot do research with regards to biological or chemical weaponry, how then could we be able to produce preventive measures or cures when such a devastating material be used against our nation.
