MessageMervyn Bijai MP, HNP Leader :

Mr Speaker, we see the current flag as a symbol of the UM governance and Monarchy governance - two things which Hutori needs to firmly put behind it. Whilst we are not totally convinced by the proposed flag we most certainly want to remove our current symbol.

MessagePrime Minister Mervyn Bijai,

Mr Speaker, whilst the new flag is not ideal we want to remove the flag of UM rule and the Monarchy. The current flag is a symbol of those two evils and we hope to remove the Monarchy after we have recently rid ourselves of UM company based policies. Perhaps the labour party should not jump at the chance to condemn this new flag especially considering what the current flag stands for.

MessageMr Speaker, the flag does not stand for UM rule at all. The gentleman is being ridiculous.
