MessageWhilst speaking outside of a local school in Mansfield Gavonshire, Ed Rodgers, NCPA candidate for Education and Culture, stressed the important of the media, on culture, morality and politics. Bill Allison, Leader of NCPA, explains what could be done if the bill is passed through congress

"Whoever controls the media - the images - controls the culture. At this current time the media are totally free of regulation and could potentially be corrupting public information. Although not a common occurrence, I would hope, lets not forget that Media companies are private and essentially businesses. for them, money in must exceed money out, and this policy could cloud their vision on what is acceptable to present to the public. Thus vote yes and we can have unbiased regulations created."- Ed Rodgers

"If this bill is passed we can expect to see the creation of the AMC, which stands for the Alorian Media Commission, and on this commission will sit government elected officials who will oversea the media and its content, for extreme cases of false information and hate speech. if these occur, then action will be taken. Some in the media have criticised this move, calling it over-governing, however our party urges that the congress realise the nature of the media and it far reaching influence in this nation." Bill Allison, Leader NCPA

MessageWe understand that this proposal only seeks to establish rules that will improve the quality of our media system, but seeing how there is a risk of misusage, i.e. "who decides what information is 'false' and 'correct'?", we will vote no to protect the right to express whatever opinion one might have.
