Bill: Eminent Domain Compensation Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Democratic Centrist Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: February 2935

Description[?]:

By letting the victim of eminent domain decide for themselves what they see as fair compensation, there is a greater chance of mutual agreement. Rather than receiving it from a court, this could help make the process smoother by invoking a sense of empowerment in whomever the gov't is dealing with.

However, there must be limits as to what the victim will receive, and in those cases the gov't will have the opportunity to appeal to a court of law, which will rule whether or not the demands are resonable.
