Status[?]: passed

Description[?]:
“It has been shown that three companies have been charged with by the government off tax evasion, and lying on tax documents. This can not be tolerated. Current investigation has shown many other companies might be doing the same thing, this big companies have found ways of getting out of taxes on certain tax breaks and cuts for certain things they are lying about. Until, the investigation is over and we have found out how they are doing this and put a stop to this, I am proposing that a 5 percent tax increase go on the corporation tax to as I say Stick it to them, that they can keep trying but we will are going to get the money they owe us and the people who do pay fair share of taxes, as well the increases will help bring in more revenue that can be spent more in departments that request spending if they need it.”-President Mark Burton. Part of this being passed, is that President Mark Burton will come back to this bill in 2937 to re-examine it and see if we should lower the tax back down to 20, if Burton not is not-re elected than Linda Gong and the PP shall re-examine it. |

Message | I going to disagree, there are many corporations within Aloria and it would be unfair to the many tax paying corporations to raise corparate taxes, they do not owe us the money and do not deserve to be punished. This is an anti-market policy, and the NCPA will no support it |

Message | As a general matter, the New Independence Party opposes corporate taxation. No, not because the movie studios of Sildar Beach oppose it--though it is a happy coincidence that our views here align with those of our constituents. Rather, we oppose corporate taxes because because they are *regressive.* That is, corporations ultimately pass them onto consumers by increasing the price of goods, which in turn impacts the poorest consumers the most, because they spend a greater proportion of their income on goods than others. Despite our opposition in principle to corporate taxes, we'll cast a symbolic yes vote here to show our spirit of cooperation with our fellow parliamentarians. While it is very difficult for us to compromise on our core values of devolution and religious freedom, where we can, we will compromise. We hope to work together in the future to accomplish our goals, and to advance goals of other parties when we can. |
