Bill: Term length Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Senatus et Populusque Kirlawan(SPQK)

Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: March 2006

Description[?]:

The Imperial Caesarist party of the Confederacy would like to express its desire to hold elections less frequently. We beleive that endless squabbling among senators and senators spending all of their time pandering to votes is a negative thing and will be a detriment to our Mighty nation.

MessageNote that currently you can change the term length like you can change any other variable: by achieving more Yes than No votes by the deadline. However later I will make some variables (such as term length) Constitutional variables which will require something like a two-thirds majority.

Random fact: When you join the game, you will find yourself with only zero seats. That's because your party's representatives haven't been elected yet. You need to establish your party's position on issues by proposing several bills that your party wants passed and sending them to vote. This raises your visibility and if you do it enough, you will win seats at the next election.
