Message | Given recent events, it is our belief that Aloria would benefit from the cultivation of a strong national esprit de' corps. The term of mandatory service we recommend is short, only two years. And we believe Alorians should have the option of serving in a military capacity, or a civilian capacity at their choice. Our ability to respond to terrorist attacks and other disasters could only be enhanced by having the manpower on hand at all times to solve problems where they're needed. There remains significant environmental damage in Sildar from radioactive fallout, for example. It would be useful to be able to call in a national Civilian Conservation Corps to do what can be done to help minimize the impact of that. We urge our fellow Congressmen and women to bring back national service to Aloria. |

Message | We will support, one of the main reason is that national service will not only increase individual discipline, but as with guns being legal to buy in Aloria, will help young people understand the lethal nature of weapons and this experience could stop them using them in the wrong way. NCPA will vote yes |

Message | It is almost bringing a draft in.... |
Date | 00:14:49, May 12, 2010 CET | From | New Independence Party (PCA) | To | Debating the National Security Act of 2397 |
Message | It isn't a draft. It's mandatory service like in Israel and Switzerland. We allow for civilian service as well as military service. |
Date | 00:34:16, May 12, 2010 CET | From | New Independence Party (PCA) | To | Debating the National Security Act of 2397 |
Message | To be more specific, a draft selects people to serve at random. This is mandatory service for all, and is gender-neutral. Man or woman, everyone is obligated to serve for two years. |

Random fact: Parties have the ability to endorse another party's candidate for the Head of State election (if there is one). This adds a strategic element to the elections. |
Random quote: "I worked at a factory owned by Germans, at coal pits owned by Frenchmen, and at a chemical plant owned by Belgians. There I discovered something about capitalists. They are all alike, whatever the nationality. All they wanted from me was the most work for the least money that kept me alive. So I became a communist." - Nikita Khrushchev |
