Message | The armed forces need to reflect the openness and civil liberties Solentians enjoy. On ethic as well as on economic grounds it is unacceptable to disdain useful elements on the grounds of their sexual preferences. Regarding the military service, the civilian population must not suffer from the consequences of an irresponsible government nor see its freedom of choice limited by a recruiting agenda. We are not a militarist society. |

Message | Unfortunately the CPS cannot support this bill. Our platform is based on providing a moral standard for Solentia which will lead to a more pure society, and article one does not fit into that platform. Article two has been Solentian policy in the past and should remain so today, not in the interests of imperialistic militarism but in the interests of having a capable defense force should imperialistic militants threaten our way of life. Random fact: Cultural Protocol bills must provide a real-life equivalent or short description for the ethnic groups, languages and religions contained in them, such that it would be easy for an unfamiliar player to understand (e.g. "Dundorfian = German"). Where appropriate, they should also provide guidance to players on where to find help with translations and character names. This might include, for example, links to Google Translate, Behind the Name's Random Name Generator and Fantasy Name Generators. |
