MessageAlorians should not be allowed to avoid the consequences of criminal acts abroad by coming home. While no Alorian should be subjected to cruel penalties, it is only fair that those who go abroad and sully Aloria's good name should face the consequences. We urge our fellow Congressmen to support extradition to countries that don't practice capital punishment, or inhumane treatment of suspects.

MessageNot all countries justice systems are as fair as Alorias.

MessageDifferent countries handle crime differently. But we think it important for protecting Aloria's image that we not be seen to shelter criminals here. Every time a criminal commits a crime abroad, he sullies Aloria's image. Letting him come home to evade justice where he committed that crime only makes it worse.

OOC:

If there was an option that let us prevent extradition to countries that don't provide meaningful due process, I'd choose that one. But it isn't available. On the other hand, countries that don't execute people or treat them inhumanely probably also have due process. Countries that treat people inhumanely probably don't. So it's a pretty good proxy.

MessageOOC: I've put add ons to bills, since the game does restrict some obvious choices. In RL we don't have a few opitions to chose from making laws, so I see no problem doing add ons. We need to keep track of them tho.
