Voting deadline: May 2958

Description[?]:

Ok, we're moving this to vote to get rid of it.
So we decided that the main cultural groups in Sekowo are Gao-Showans (speaking Japanese, Korean, Chinese, and Vietnamese), Orincos (Greek-speaking Amerindians), and Sécowonnais (French and Norman speaking Metis/Mestizos).

MessageThe wiki refers to two unknown minorities called the Olmec and Orinco, perhaps we could use them as names for the French and Greeks.

MessageThere already is a wiki page on the French, so I don't think we need to give a specific name for the French in Sekowo.
The Greeks could be called Olmec, and their ancient counterparts Shinjalans. Since the latter were the speakers of Tsekwon, the Olmecs could be the speakers of Modern Sekowan, which in effect would be Greek.

As for religion, the previous census puts the Christians of Sekowo divided between Catholic (40%), Protestant (40%) and non-denominational. The Orthodox Catholic Church could make up for the most catholics, and could be the religion supported by the Imperial Dominions.

MessageAbout history, the wiki does not mention who the colonial owners of Sekowo were. Since Sekowo was originally a sort of Mexico (including the use of Spanish), we could have it founded by Egelion, and later controled by Luthori (hence the English speakers). To account for the French, the south could have been owned by Rildanor and part of their colony of Lourenne before becoming part of Luthori Sekowo.

MessageWell, we will have to stop calling them French, because the mods have contacted me. Perhaps we should call them the Sekowçais?

MessageSécowonnais might work for the Sekowan French speakers. Also, the Normand language could be the sociolect of lower class Sécowonnais, since nobody seems to have mentioned anything about the origin of Sekowan Normands.

MessageOn the other hand, Olmec is a little too Pre-Columbian, I'd say we should call the Greeks Orincos ( Ώριγκοι). Also, according to an older census bill, Shinjalan is the generic name of Sekowan Amerindians, including the 'Greeks'.
