Message | Mr. Speaker, Our honorable colleges across the aisle must surely be confused. In another piece of legislation put forward by the members opposite last year they proposed all adults own firearms by law out of fear of domestic instabilities. Members opposite today proposed another bill which calls for the unbridled use of torture by our police for, again, the safety of the citizens of Zardugal. Well ladies and gentlemen of the Directorate while this is an honorable position to take what we have before us is a walking contradiction coming from the party advocating mandatory gun ownership, torture and formerly a staunch advocate of sealing Zardugal's borders to all foreigners. Surely my members opposite haven't forgotten the blunder that occured when a delegation from Solentia arrived in Zardugal. . .This was a national embarrassment and would have been avoided had the laws then reflected as they do now. It is out of this experience that we had thought that the United Alliance of all our domestic allies would not consider letting any nation open up an embassy without consent. Do members opposite here today think it'd be a wise idea for Sekowo to open up an embassy here given their current domestic struggles? I doubt it. Couple this fact that as we speak Foreign Minister Atanas is working with the Dranian government on this very issue and allowing them to potentially setup an embassy here while we setup one there. The process should be selective. Surely the party that advocated sealing off the borders can appreciate this argument. Mr. Speaker, it's a shame Article 1 was put with Article 2 as it is we could find ourselves supporting Article 2. I Yield the Floor, Edward Stith, Sr. Director of the 23rd Manion District |
