Bill: Right to Bear Arms
Details
Submitted by[?]: Freedom Coalition
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: October 2137
Description[?]:
All Al'Badarans should have the right to own a firearm as a means of self-defence. People who wish to inflict harm with the guns obviously have no regard for the law anyway, so this legislation will not stop them from seeking the means to hurt or kill others. However, the honest innocent law abiding folk who have no intention to harm anyone, except in self defence, will be deprived of this right. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change Ownership of guns by private individuals.
Old value:: Adult individuals may not own firearms unless professionally required.
Current: Adult individuals may own guns under strict license conditions.

Random fact: Cabinet ministers who disagree seriously with the head of government would usually be expected to resign. Parties within the cabinet may attempt to manoeuvre to replace the head of government though, for example by proposing a new cabinet bill or voting for an early election. |
