| The law banning democratic workers' councils is in our view discriminatory and authoritarian. If workers want to set up and manage their own businesses then they should be free to do so. Under our proposal the state would adopt a neutral position on DWCs. |

| Message | The government should be able to give assistance to all types of companies when it is in the nation's interests but under this bill there would be no special treatment for DWCs. I imagine the workers would all have a share in the company and would be able to vote democratically either on all the decisions or on the members who sat on the board. |
