Message | Mr Speaker, given that there is no way that there is the necessary supermajority to pass this bill, it would be foolish to consider voting in its favour. Mr Speaker, the CLP was responsible for creating the National Council which opens up the leadership of the State and combines an hereditary monarchy with an elected tribune. Mr Speaker, this system has been working extremely well and we hope that it long continues. The CLP is at the moment committed to retaining the status quo. |
