Message | I request that another party proposes the cabinet, in that case. We prefer finance, but apprently such a department gives us control over gays and lesbians in some secretive manner. |

Message | Apologies, our objection has been misunderstood. So long as the Remnants are trying to take away rights from our lesbian and gay citizens, we will not take any part in any cabinet that includes tham in any way. If the Remnants are in government, and continue their campaigns of homophobia, then we will have to serve in opposition, and continue to make such deals with the Remnants as can be negotiated. This does not mean we do not appreciate Remnants support in the recent election, but equality for people of all sexual orientatations is a matter of basic principle, one of the few matters on which we are not willing to compromise. That is why we turned our back on the Remnants when they first began to propose bills based on homophobia -- we stand by our statement at that time that we cannot be in the same cabinet as them. So there's three options we can see: (1) The Remnants stop proposing the homophobic bills (2) A cabinet of Remnants plus Libertarians plus one or more other parties, in which case we go into opposition (3) A cabinet of other parties excluding the Remnants, such as we have now. |

Message | Our attempts to eradicate gays and lesbians have proven to be less than popular among many, thus we have moved on and are simply attempting to regulate them. Surely one who can support regulation of "evil businesses" as you have done in the past, can see the need to regulate those who practice deviant lifestyles? In any case, the President-Councillor need not worry, as she enjoys executive immunity. |
Date | 02:25:24, November 09, 2005 CET | From | Cooperative Commonwealth Federation | To | Debating the Cabinet Proposal of March 2137 |
Message | Executive immunity? The President-Councillor has searched the extensive files passed along to her by her late predecessor and finds no record of any such status. As far as she can tell, the President-Councillor's only power is the awesome ability to cut ribbons faster than ordinary people. |
Date | 02:48:37, November 09, 2005 CET | From | Tuesday Is Coming | To | Debating the Cabinet Proposal of March 2137 |
Message | We assumed that Lodamun, like many/most nations, gave their head of state the power to pardon criminals and excused a Head of State's minor crimes. |
Date | 03:55:41, November 12, 2005 CET | From | Tuesday Is Coming | To | Debating the Cabinet Proposal of March 2137 |
Message | As this would produce too many empty spots, we will vote against in favor of a new one. |

Random fact: Don't put "the" as the first word in your party name, because when parties are referred to in news reports, their names are preceded with "the", e.g. the [Socialist Party] has lost. |
