Message | It is the government's obligation to protect the inhabitants of the nation. Selling weapons to lunatics is not a step in the right direction. |

Message | Well I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree, because I do not think it is the government's obligation to protect the inhabitants of the nation whatsoever. I think it is the government's obligation to protect the freedom of the inhabitants of the nation. |

Date | 03:54:08, May 27, 2010 CET | From | Libertarian Party of Darnussia | To | Debating the Freedom Act |
Message | Not really. How do you know if someone who has a criminal background is going to commit another crime when they buy a gun. For all you know he might use it to defend his neighbor from being murdered. |

Message | How do you even know what a mentally unstable person will do with a gun? Of course there is always the possibility they could use to commint a crime as a result of their insanity, but there is also a chance they could use for the same reason that any law-abiding citizen would use it. But if they aren't allowed to purchase guns, you completely remove their ability to do the latter. |

Message | However, when it comes to a wager; repeat offenders and people without moral culpability for their actions, are best protected by others who have shown no disposition towards being mentally unstable or subterfuge of the law. |
Date | 03:15:52, May 28, 2010 CET | From | Libertarian Party of Darnussia | To | Debating the Freedom Act |
Message | When it comes to a wager; repeat offenders intending to commit crimes with guns aren't likely to follow gun laws. The same can really go for a mentally isane person. Mentally insane doesn't mean unintelligent. |

Random fact: It is not allowed to call more than 5 elections in 5 game years in a nation. The default sanction for a player persisting in the early election tactic will be a seat reset. |
