| Here in Germany there is an option for women who decide to give birth to their baby but do not want or cannot take care of the baby, it is called the Babyklappe. The woman can leave the baby in the care of the Babyklappe for eight weeks, and during those eight weeks she can think about whether she would like to make this decision. If she does`t pick the baby up in eight weeks the state takes custody of the baby. We believe that this is a good idea because... 1. It increases the choices women have. 2. It is more humain than abortions. 3. It may reduce neglect and child abuse caused by un-willing mothers. |
