MessageMadam Speaker, it is time that we allowed young people to work under the age of 18 or else we will create a generation that has no work ethic and no experience of what they wish to do for a career. Madam Speaker, I am confident that this bill and the regulations mentioned will ensure that the system cannot be abused.

MessageSarah Marelle MP, NSC Frontbencher,

Madam Speaker, if these guidelines are enforced to the CLP's standard we cannot find a reason to not accept this Act. It will build a work ethic for young people and give them vital employment experience. The NSC does believe in preparing young people for employment in later life and this Act would do well to enact this.
