Description[?]:
The Left Radical Party could not be more enthused to present the Comprehensive Political and Economic Communisation Act 2945 to the Senate for consideration. This Act shall radically transform the political and economic configuration of Solentia for the benefit of her working peoples. The end of the exploitative system is nigh! Message | The Utilitarian Party of Solentia unfortunately cannot agree with any of these articles. -Articles 5 and 10 are disrespectful to individuals; articles 5 allows corrupt leaders to enshrine their ruling over their trade union and article 10 endangers private property and scares private investment away. -Articles 4, 5, and 9 have no way of being accomplished, being Solentia a country trying to cut public expenses and against any paternalistic government: The government is there to administrate and not to give away for free. -Finally, articles 3 and 8 are against our principles. The freer the market, the freer the people. Why should an almighty State decide what is good and what is bad for its people? The government's mission is to ensure peace and to provide the adequate surroundings so people can develop by themselves. |
Date | 13:33:53, May 29, 2010 CET | From | Social Democratic Party of Solentia | To | Debating the Comprehensive Political and Economic Communisation Act 2945 |
Message | Those reforms are too far-fetching. Close inspection of the articles under debate reveal that government regulation in those sectors is sufficient. The SDP too can not support any of the proposed changes. - Without further specification the changes appear both arbitrary and prone to totalitarism. - David Smith, SDP |
Date | 16:11:12, May 29, 2010 CET | From | Conservative Party of Solentia | To | Debating the Comprehensive Political and Economic Communisation Act 2945 |
Message | Mr. Smith's point is valid. These proposals border on communist totalitarianism. The CPS will oppose. CPS Chairwoman Andrea Bryant |
Date | 11:00:39, May 30, 2010 CET | From | Federal Independent Party | To | Debating the Comprehensive Political and Economic Communisation Act 2945 |
Message | While we digress with several of the articles in this bill as an overstep of the state in the economy, such as agriculture, we do believe it is a step in the right direction. For too long workers in Solentian have been ignored and we thank the LPR for joining us in our struggle to grant workers freedoms they deserve and need. Senator Morton Kellian |
Date | 05:49:49, May 31, 2010 CET | From | Social Renewal Party | To | Debating the Comprehensive Political and Economic Communisation Act 2945 |
Message | The Left Radicals are incredibly pleased by the FIP's decision to support our reform programme in the Senate. Their commitment to the leftist cause is now beyond doubt and we applaud them for their solidarity with the people of Solentia. Opposition from the reactionary parties was entirely predictable. The opposition of the SDP is surprising and disheartening. They've demonstrated that they are rightists and revisionists in leftist clothing! We'll do everything within our power to ensure the workers never forget this unforgivable betrayal of their interests. |
Date | 06:56:53, May 31, 2010 CET | From | Utilitarian Party of Solentia | To | Debating the Comprehensive Political and Economic Communisation Act 2945 |
Message | The Utilitarian Party of Solentia unfortunately cannot follow the arguments of the Left Radical Party. Could it be explained to the Solentias how is it that refusing to vote on article 5 is a betrayal to their interests? Without article 5 corrupt leaders may impose their will on common workers. It is in our understanding that not all workers have the same opinion on several matters, but it would be enriching if the Left Radical Party could explain how come voting, the system used to determine who rules in Solentia is not the proper way a trade union must work. If the Left Radical Party considers that autocracy is an easier method, well, they should stop pretending they are a political party committed to democracy and instead propose an autocracy be imposed over all Solentians. And no, the Utilitarian Party of Solentia is not a reactionary party. The left/right divide is an over-simplification of politics. We have never encouraged a State-planed economy, nor will we. Debate is our banner and we encourage its use. |
