Message | The CPS is hesitant to place the defence ministry in the hands of a party which is notably pacifist. It also does not approve of taking such a significant cut in positions, despite the loss in the Senate this election. The current cabinet serves us better than this one, Supreme President Astor! Message | "The Defence Ministry is not a War Ministry Ms. Bryant. It cannot declare war and does not determine foreign policy. It is there to ensure the Defence of the nation, which I am sure I do not need to tell you, the CMP takes very seriously. Do we not remain the only party with an official and full-time spokesman for Security and Intelligence? Nevertheless, I shall not be bullied into making the appointments that the CPS wishes me to. Under the current cabinet, the CPS holds four Ministries. In this model, you lose one. A single Ministry Ms. Bryant, I'm sure you'll cope." Supreme President Martin Astor. |

Message | "It would seem circumstances have changed. The UPS has allied with the left and are calling for early elections. This leads me to withdraw this proposal as it no longer has the backing of my party." Supreme President Martin Astor. |

Message | Well Supreme President, the call for early elections is the result of your current work. It has nothing to do with a political alliance; rather, we consider that due to the delay in the approval of the cabinet it is clear that you are missing a ruling majority. This situation is highly unstable, and with your party having no seats on the current cabinet it is outrageous to the Utilitarian Party of Solentia the low confidence the Senate has on you. Therefore, a call for early elections is absolutely understandable and actually a must. How can you rule when nobody supports your proposals? I hope you do see the logic behind our argument. We would nevertheless expect your honest support and we do suggest you, as a token of good will and compromise, accept to ensure the constitutional right and responsibility of proposing a cabinet is granted to every party. Once that condition is met, I am sure you will find your honorable and symbolic position more valued as before. |
