With respect to ensuring both a strong nation and strong bond between the people and the nation, their respective regions, and indeed their respective local communities. The bill moves to mandate post-education a minimum term of National Service, either Military or Civic at the discretion of the individual. This will empower the nation with a bounty of fresh minds and firm wills to work in bettering the country as a whole. Also it will serve to assist boost the ability of the nation to defend in times of war as it will increase the number of individual citizens who are present or former basically trained soldiers. As well citizens fresh from schooling will be benefited with experience in the professional world without fear of error bringing a quick end to careers as well as forming long term networking connection among comradeship of serving their nation either in Civil or Military efforts. |

Current: All adults upon completion of schooling must serve a term in the military.
Proposed: All adults upon completion of schooling must serve either a term in the military or a lesser paid term of civilian national service, at their option.
