Bill: AAL Resolution 1.49

Details

Submitted by[?]: Anarcho-Atheist League

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: February 2950

Description[?]:

The cornerstone of AAL policy is the separation of Church and State. As it currently stands, the majority of Solentian laws fall in line with that position save for the two articles presented in this bill.

Article one may require a bit of explanation. We are in 100% agreement that religions should be allowed to set up their own schools to teach the youth their faith; however we do not agree that schools such as these should be unregulated. The regulations that this bill will put in place only exist to ensure that religious schools are held to the same academic standard that government supported schools are.

Random fact: Party candidates for head of state elections are not visible to the public. This means that you cannot see who will run and who will not, which adds another strategic element to the elections.
