Bill: Reciprocal Trade Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Citizen Nationalist Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: June 2950
Description[?]:
While free market ideology is supported by many of the actions of this government it has become clear that trade with other governments must reflect the intention to meet protectionism with protectionism. This bill proposes that all imports from nations which impose tariffs on Kafuri goods themselves receive a reciprocal tariff. While also stating as law that nations which do not impose tariffs on Kafuri goods are themselves immune from tariffs. This will properly protect our economy from other protectionist nations while not punishing our market allies. |
