MessageI have read the treaty, and it sounds reasonable and fair. Being as my party at present holds the position for the minister for foreign affairs, it would be I who was the mediator fro all matters except defense, which would be mediated by the NCP, according to their rules. However, before we voted on anything in the community council we would have to get a bill passed here about it.

MessageWe're reluctant, but would agree with one caveat - that we're never in charge of dealing with them directly.

MessageI don't like entangling alliances, nevertheless if they are for free trade, I don't mind signing.

MessageI realise we havent had much time to debate this, but if I don't put it to vote now it wont reach completion til the election, then it will be put back to debate, and altogether it will take ages.

MessagePity about the whole unanimous vote thing, means not much will get done, i suspect, and reminds me rather of the league of nations. nevertheless, it is probably good as I can't see many of you wanting to give up any sovereignty

MessageWe're willing to make concessions on that count. It certainly is a shame about the unanimous vote requirement.
