Bill: Democratic Freedom

Submitted by[?]: Scions of the Archpope

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: November 2954

The Order does not quite understand the need to refrain parties from proposing more bills. 10 bills a year mean less than a bill a month, and a party can't be expected to show its beliefs, nor fullfil its democratic duties, with a quota that small.

Therefore, we hereby propose to raise the quota to 20 proposals a year; however, we will wait with voting until the other parties have had a chance to put forth their own arguements. Should no party be found to say anything relevant about this issue, we will start the voting procedure in 4 months, that is March 2954.

- Glûzius Ffyrdin, Son and Right Hand to Glûzz I.

Random fact: References to prominent real-life persons are not allowed. This includes references to philosophies featuring the name of a real-life person (eg. "Marxism", "Thatcherism", "Keynesianism").

Random quote: "John Burroughs has stated that experimental study of animals in captivity is absolutely useless. Their character, their habits, their appetites undergo a complete transformation when torn from their soil in field and forest. With human nature caged in a narrow space, whipped daily into submission, how can we speak of its potentialities?" Emma Goldman
