| A most urgent matter must be brought before the Diet. The rogue nation of Sekowo is developing weapons of mass destruction and has publicly stated that they are meant to destroy Luthorian cities. In addition, Sekowo has made the same threats to our ally Hulstria. It is obvious that Sekowo represents an immediate and imminent danger and that military action is now required. Thus, with this act, that requires the support of the minister of foreign affairs, the minister of defense and the heads of state and government, as well as the support of a simple majority of the Diet, this august assembly authorizes the Holy Imperial Military to blockade Sekowo and to wage war against that country if Sekowo does not abandon its program of weapons of mass destruction upon the commencement of our blockade. Luthori has the blessings of both the International Monarchist League and the Commonwealth Nations of Terra Alliance to act jointly with our ally Hulstria against the Sekowan menace. | Message | Mr Speaker, So we should let enemy countries destroy our cities? Our problem is not with other countries developing WMDs, our problem is when that country's national newspaper states: "Shogunate Orders New Missile Programme Aimed At Greater Hulstria and Luthorian Colonies" and "Sekowan Scientists have begun work on a deterrent capable of razing the major cities of Greater Hulstria and the Luthorian Colony of Namviet to ruins". It is to be noted that Namviet is not even on the continent of Dovani. It is the LCP's stance that refuses to protect the Empire in the face of nuclear threat which is morally bankrupt. I yield. |
