MessagePeople are too squeamish and sentimental when it comes to the dead. Once we're dead none of us are gonna care what happens to us, might as well be put to good use. I'd rather I'd be used to save someone life than buried in the ground and forgotten about. We support.

MessageForcing people to do something is unacceptable to us. We shall not support. Some people may have one reason or another not to donate organs.

MessageYou aren't forcing people to do anything, you are forcing corpses to be cut open and have the organs removed. They will not complain *too* much. ;)

MessageIt is disgusting that the government thinks that they can take anything from the dead person, without permission, just because they are dead. What if the family doesn't want that, or the person self doesn't wish that. Whatever reason there may or may not be, be it however valid you think they are, we still have to respect their opinion and choice.

Message"the person self doesn't wish that."

That person no longer inhabits that body. Those organs would go to much better use in transplantation saving someone else's life rather than rotting in the ground or being incinerated, simply because that person or their family were against donation.

It is a highly selfish act to desire to keep your organs after your death, when they could go to save lives and ease the troubles of others.

MessageAs selfish as that may be, it is their personal choice and their choices must be accepted and respected.

MessageMay we humbly recommend a compromise then, organ donation is assumed if a person never specifies otherwise. That way organs that could be used to save people won't be lost because folks were too lazy to list themselves as organ donors.
