Message | TSP is opposed to this measure. There is no need to use government funding to prop up a media entity that cannot turn a profit on its own. It is not for the government to decide on educational and informational ideals for the citizenry, and then broadcast said educational values. If the populace desires education or information on the radio, then private stations may provide it, supplying the demanded values. The interference of the government in the media market begins our Commonwealth down the slippery slope to propaganda-mongering. Therefore, TSP rejects this bill. |
