MessageRt Hon Baron Mancini, NSC Leader,

Mr Speaker, so the SPU and CLP are advocating all types of pornography? Including child pornography etc that the current law permits? Mr Speaker, it speaks volumes for the CLP as they oppose out of financial gain the pornographic industry generates and the SPU are equally if not more immoral.

MessageHon Cheryl Macintosh, CLP Leader:

Mr Speaker, could the NSC explain just how exactly the CLP gains financially from the pornographic industry? It is an extraordinary statement to make!

MessageMr Speaker, i think this is a misunderstanding, we implied the state benefitted financially from the status quo. We were simply suggesting the CLP would advocate this stance. We hope to have cleared this up for the Hon Lady.

MessageMr Speaker, we thank the NSC for their clarification. However, it is interesting that the NSC should try to claim that the CLP would advocate something simply because it benefits the state! Given our strong and fervent belief that the government should have as little money as possible, and that more of it should stay in the pockets of individuals, it is an astonishing claim to make.
