Message | I am not certain if we agree. What if some psychotically conservative community wanted to ban totally ban smoking...I wouldn`t want to give small governments so much power over civil liberties. We will vote no. |
Date | 15:32:06, November 10, 2005 CET | From | Aldurian Libertarian Socialist Party | To | Debating the Smoking Law Devolution Act |
Message | The laws on smoking are fairly liberal. The right to be protected against harmful smoke, and to poison itself in its own house should be inalienable. |
Date | 20:30:38, November 10, 2005 CET | From | New Aldurian Conservative Party | To | Debating the Smoking Law Devolution Act |
Message | We would be happy to set certain limitations on the level of devolution granted, but we believe that, at least within certain limits, this should be devolved. |
Date | 03:27:10, November 11, 2005 CET | From | Aldurian Moderates | To | Debating the Smoking Law Devolution Act |
Message | We actually would support a bill banning smoking completely. This comes after a poll that shows the majority of the party loathes this practice. |
