Bill: Resolution to Support the Cildanian Republic of 2975
Details
Submitted by[?]: Bismarckian National Resistance (BNR)
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: July 2976
Description[?]:
As you may know, the Cildanian Republic's legitimate, democratically-elected government and its noble People, our Jewish and Majatran brothers, are currently under the threat of a fascist revolution (http://forum.particracy.net/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=2576#p21705). More than 25,000 people have been killed in the violence. The BNR calls on the Holy Council to issue this resolution of support for our friends the Cildanians. Article 1: The Commonwealth of Yishelem and Beiteynu declares our unyielding support for the current legitimate, democratically-elected government of the Cildanian Republic. Article 2: The Commonwealth of Yishelem and Beiteynu refuses to recognize the fascist uprising as any sort of legitimate governmental organization and harshly denounces it as a terrorist group. Article 3: If the legitimate Government of the Cildanian Republic so requests it, and if HRM King Gustavus II of Yishelem and Beiteynu & Luthori & Alduria and I of Mordusia approves it as required by the Treaties of Poesy in military cases, the Commonwealth of Yishelem and Beiteynu is ready and willing to assist the legitimate Government of the Cildanian Republic in bringing the fascist revolt in their nation to an end, whether the aid is financial, military, or both. |

Message | OOC: CIL is out, so things like this may take us a while. I can approve it as the Emperor if we need to, but I will first need to consult the CIL or Luthori before I could do so. He should be back by the end of this week I believe though. I shall see what I can do. |

Message | The current Cildanian government, although legally elected, seems to be in itself fascist. The National Emergency Executive Powers Act of 2975 (http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=297551) sseems very fascist to the CZP. We don't endorse the idea of sending our blood and treasure to fight fascists in order to keep fascists in power. The current government has suspended thier consitution and thereby elections. Say what you want about the CZP but even at the hieght of our power we never suspended elections. But if the BNR has a good arguement we would be willing to vote yes. |

Message | The BNR thought that the Cildanian government had only suspended the Constitution in the affected areas. Although the suspension of the Constitution may not ultimately turn out to be dictatorial in nature, we do agree with the CIP that we do not have the foresight to know. But for now we must assist these people, who are our Jewish and Majatran cousins, and if they turn out to be dictatorial, we shall not support them any longer. |

Message | Dear Parties of The Commonwealth of Yishelem and Beiteynu, We thank you for your generosity but the aid requested by the former Chairman of the Cildanian Republic is not needed. The situation that was happening was due to Mr. Shapiro turning our nation into an authoritarian regime. He was in fact only appealing to the world stage and creating this "rebellion" to legitimize his oppressive policies. Again, thank you for your support but it is not needed any longer. We are especially appreciative that our Jewish brothers stepped up and answered the call for help even though there were doubts. We hope that we can continue this open dialog and good friendship under our new administration. Shalom Aleichem. Signed, Elliott Shaltiel Chairman of the Liberty Party Interim President of the Cildanian Republic |

Message | Dear Interim President Shaltiel, We completely understand the situation and are glad you contacted us before we dispensed aid to an authoritarian regime. Thankfully your nation is now, once again, democratic, and may it remain forever as such. We wish you luck in your new position as interim president, and we wish the best of luck to the Cildanian Republic and its People. Shalom Aleichem. Sincerely, Peter V. Hatikvah, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Commonwealth of Yishelem and Beiteynu |

Random fact: Moderation will not accept Cultural Protocol updates which introduce, on a significant scale, cultures which are likely to be insufficiently accessible to players. In particular, for all significant cultures in Particracy, it should be easy for players to access and use online resources to assist with language translation and the generation of character names. Moderation reserves the right to amend Cultural Protocols which are deemed to have introduced significant cultures that are not sufficiently accessible and which are not being actively role-played with. |
