Message | This government is getting tough on serious crimes, and reducing crimes. The last government did nothing on crime despite urgent reform being asked for and being promised. The result? Rising crime, complaining police, devestated victims and happy criminals. It is time we took action as a government on serious issues such as terrorism and treason. We realise this is an issue of moral conscience and therefore the government will be open to a free vote on the issue. We firmly believe the only way we can deter terrorists and treasonists, is by having the death penalty apply to these crimes. It won't stop all of these acts, but it will deter some and this has to be the main thinking. Jackie Ferguson Secretary of State for Internal Affairs |

Message | Solentian law already states that murder is a heinous and strongly punishable crime. How can we then as the state then inflict that very same crime even if the criminal were a murderer? It is for this reason that the SDA will not support the death penalty under any circumstances. |

Random fact: "Game mechanics comes first." For example, if a currently-enforced bill sets out one law, then a player cannot claim the government has set out a contradictory law. |
