Bill: Legal Justice Bill
Details
Submitted by[?]: Dorvish Popular Front
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: August 2046
Description[?]:
We are totally against the state funding criminals defences! Before someone goes to trial the prosecution has to prove they have enough evidence and so it is more than likely the person is guilty. After all, if someone is in court there must be a more than reasonable level of suspicion. |

Message | After much debate with the DFP we are willing to vote for this bill. Why should poor criminals get defense paid for and more well off innocent people have to pay it themselves |

Message | The point of a trial is to determine whether or not someone is guilty. Why should poor people have to go broke in order to defend themselves? |

Message | I'd rather see the state pay for all defenses than have it all privately paid. At least that way it'd be spread out pretty evenly. |

Message | To be in court there must be a substantial amount of suspicion. I'm sure that the person can get a loan of some description to help them prove themselves. And it will teach them to steer well clear of criminal elements in society. |
