| Message | Rt Hon Duke Richards, Prime Minister, Mr Speaker, now that the HNP have introduced some of our fundamental reforms we are prepared to reconsider the Labour members request for early elections. Following the passage of the HNP Decree, Abolition of Trade Unions and the re-introduction of Slavery. Mr Speaker, the opportunity arose for the HNP to implement these and we took it. Given Labours history of voting down early elections we doubt they would have accepted the proposed elections earlier. We now feel the time is right for elections and we are confident in our electoral performance to take on the challenge of the Labour Party. |
