Description[?]:
Article 1:Based on research proving the harmful effects on health that tobacco smoking causes, we do not believe we should be encouraging children to pick up the habit at such an early age, by allowing them to buy tobacco. The SDLP believes that all adult Solentians should have the right to smoke if they so please, however it would be best discouraged as it reduces ones physical fitness and puts an unnecessary strain on our health budget. Article 2: Members of the SDLP believe that all consumers have the right to assume that the food they consume will not lead them to sickness. It is not a big impost on business to provide a minimum standard of hygiene, and whilst we recognise that most businesses are responsible we also must ensure that the small minority of rogue traders out there do not continue to threaten the lives of all Solentians. Carol Edwardes Minister for Health and Social Services |
