Bill: Pornography Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Libertarian Party of Darnussia

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: November 2989

Description[?]:

You have no argument for opposing what I am about to propose here. This is not an extremist position; it is the most sensible posititon to take on this matter. The current is not the most sensible because it ignores facts, in favor of having laws that enforce other peoples opinions upon other people through an already secular government.

MessageThey would vote against free choice in this scenerio in order to make themselves "feel superior" to those who would ever watch pornography; they need something to give them a sense of identity because they know without the "I am better than you because I am "morally superior", and porn is evil, therefore for your own benefit, because I know what is better for you (obviously; I am morally superior), I think it should be completely illegal" attitude, they would not have any identity.

MessageAnd I won't see that identity taken from me. Not willingly.

People don't know what's good for them. They need a helping hand to see the error of their ways. Preferably OUR helping hand.

Besides, the objectifying of individuals does not sit well with us.

MessageThe production of pornography in the nation is involved. Libertarians, you say this is a matter of free choice? What of previous bills regarding the production of nuclear, chemical, and biological weapons and technologies within the country? Your vote was not in favour then. Is that not a matter of "free choice" people rightly deserve?

MessageAlso, you say secular government, yet we and Rerum Novarum are the largest party and head of government respectively.

MessageAll of them? I like them personally.

And if you don't respond I'll assume I out witted you.

Do you really want that now?

MessageI want the Libertarian party to respond to my ignorance? If I was speaking ignorantly, then perhaps. However, I merely wish the Libertarian party to respond to my quite valid points.

MessageYes, all of them. And it makes sense that you would "like" them and that you would "assume" you out witted me; the balefully ignorant and unintelligent, just like they are not as able to analyze others things, are also not able to analyze their own arguments and pick out discrepencies as well either.

Now, to get to responding to your original three comments for all that it is worth:

So, firstly, you are completely admitting to being exactly what I described you to be in my original comment; full of shit. People may not consciously know what it is good for them; but you definitely do not know what is good for them. I never said anything about the objectifying of individuals.

Secondly, the question of whether or not all of those weapons you mentioned should be allowed to be produced in the nation had to do with the GOVERNMENTS liberty to do so, NOT the people's. I have know clue how you could be so balefully ignorant to mistake this. And even if it did concern the production of those things by private citizens; I would still be opposed to it. It indeed would be a matter of free choice vs not free choice, and I would choose "not free choice", because, unlike pornography, the allowance for the production of nuclear weapons by private individuals could have detrimentally fatal effects on a lot of other people in the nation. There is, however, no rational argument for applying the same logic to the regulation of pornography depicting consenting adults for consenting adults.

And it doesn't matter which parties are the largest or which one is the head of state; the state of this nation is SECULAR, such as the CONSITUTION, the supreme law of the land, and the structure of our political system dictates.
